At the Wispact Foundation, we are proud to support initiatives that foster inclusion, accessibility, and joy for individuals with disabilities. We are especially honored to help make possible the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra’s annual Sensory-Friendly Concert: Symphonic Superpowers — taking place on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at 2:30 PM at the Bradley Symphony Center.
This special event is more than a concert. It’s a vibrant, welcoming experience thoughtfully designed for people of all ages on the autism spectrum or those with sensory sensitivities — and it’s open to everyone.
Through the magic of music, the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, in collaboration with the Pink Umbrella Theater and supported by trained MSO Ambassadors, will guide attendees on a dynamic journey exploring the “musical superpowers” of melody, rhythm, dynamics, and harmony. With selections from composers like Beethoven, Mozart, John Williams, and Michael Giacchino, this performance celebrates not only the power of music but the unique abilities we each carry within us.
What makes this concert sensory-friendly?
Dimmed house lights that remain on
Relaxed house rules and flexible seating
Sensory kits, noise-reducing headphones, and fidget-friendly activity bags
Designated quiet areas and family-friendly concessions
On-stage hosts and ASL interpreters to guide and support the audience
A flexible refund policy to ensure peace of mind
Families are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy pre-concert activities, pick up free welcome bags, and attend a mini-resource fair featuring Wisconsin organizations that provide sensory-inclusive services.
We commend the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra for their leadership in making the arts accessible to all and for recognizing the importance of inclusive experiences that uplift, empower, and inspire. Wispact Foundation is honored to be a part of this effort.
Tickets are just $22 (general admission) and group rates are available. Visit mso.org for more details or contact edu@mso.org.
Together, we celebrate the incredible power of the arts to connect communities and affirm that everyone belongs.
