Wispact Foundation is proud to announce a Legacy Grant to Regional Enterprises for Adults and Children (Reach), Inc., supporting the organization’s efforts to strengthen technology access for both staff and the individuals they serve.
Reach provides employment training, life skills development, and community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As technology continues to shape how people communicate, learn, and work, access to reliable hardware has become increasingly essential to delivering high-quality, person-centered support.
This Wispact Legacy Grant will fund the purchase of updated hardware including computers and related equipment to improve program delivery, enhance communication, and expand digital access for participants.
Investing in Purpose, Potential, and Possibility
Reach has long been recognized for empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through employment training, job placement, life skills development, and community engagement. Their person-centered approach ensures that each participant is seen not for their limitations, but for their strengths and potential.
“Reach doesn’t just provide services — we create pathways,” said Paula Gregory, Development Coordinator, “We see the ability in every individual and help turn that ability into opportunity.”
By focusing on individualized support and real-world inclusion, Reach helps participants:
- Develop vocational skills
- Gain meaningful employment
- Build independence in daily living.
- Strengthen social connections
- Participate fully in community life
This holistic, dignity-centered approach aligns closely with Wispact’s mission to enhance the well-being of people with disabilities by promoting choice and opportunity.
“Technology is no longer optional in the work we do,” Gregory explained. “Whether it’s helping someone build job skills, apply for employment, communicate with family, or access community resources, having reliable, up-to-date hardware makes a meaningful difference.”
The new equipment will allow staff to more effectively support individuals in developing digital literacy skills, exploring employment opportunities, and participating more fully in today’s technology-driven world.
“For many of the people we serve, access to technology directly impacts their independence,” Gregory said. “This grant allows us to remove barriers and create more opportunities.”
“This support from Wispact Foundation is truly impactful,” Gregory shared. “It’s not just about equipment. It’s about empowering people with the tools they need to succeed.”
Wispact Foundation’s Legacy Grants are designed to strengthen community-based organizations that promote meaningful lives for people with disabilities. When organizations have the right resources, the ripple effect extends far beyond equipment — it empowers confidence, opportunity, and long-term success.
